Erasmo Fuentes de Hoyos (Monterrey, 1943) is a Mexican-born figurative sculptor whose work blends technical mastery, spiritual depth, and a profound cultural connection. Raised in Saltillo, Coahuila, he began modeling in his father’s taxidermy workshop before studying sculpture at Brigham Young University in Utah. Working primarily in bronze, Fuentes captures scenes of faith, memory, and everyday life with realism and emotional resonance. For him, sculpture is a way to honor the human experience and preserve its stories in lasting form.
